Best PhD thesis award
Our former PhD student and current PostDoc Korinna Bade was distinguished with the "Best PhD thesis of the Faculty" award for the year 2009. The award was given during the "Akademischen Festakt" which took place November 19, 2009 in the Johanniskirche Magdeburg.
Korinna had successfully defended her PhD thesis with the topic "Personalized Hierarchical Structuring" on May 13, 2009. The thesis was graded with "Summa Cum Laude". The dissertation committee was as follows: chairman Prof. Dr. Hans-Knud Arndt (FIN-ITI), the reviewers Prof. Dr. Andreas Nürnberger (FIN-ITI), Prof. Dr. Myra Spiliopoulou (FIN-ITI), and Prof. Dr. Stefan Wrobel (Fraunhofer Institut, Sankt Augustin) as well as Prof. Dr. Stefan Schirra (FIN-ISG) as further member.
